The plans, explained
Which plan is right for you
Five plans, from a free one for your own car to one for anyone who invoices customers, such as a transporter. This page explains how they differ, in plain words. Each plan has its own page with a full write-up, and one PDF holds the lot.
Prices are in Kenya shillings, for each asset each month. A second tracker on the same asset, as a backup, costs nothing extra.
What every plan shares
Every plan is priced by the asset. An asset is the thing you want to watch: a car, a van, a truck, a boat, a generator, a bike. You pay for each asset each month, and the price depends on the plan, not on the kind of asset. If you fit a second tracker to the same asset as a backup, that costs nothing extra.
Every plan works with the tracker you already have. Most common makes work, and you can check yours before you sign up. Hardware costs you nothing unless you ask us for a new tracker, a fuel probe, a camera or a temperature sensor.
Every plan sends alerts to the app without a limit, and by email. SMS alerts come in a monthly amount that is one pool for the whole account, however many assets share it. Free has 10 a month. The paid plans have 50, 100, 250 and 500, from Lite up to Business. What you do not use does not carry over, and an alert that is over the amount still reaches you in the app. More SMS alerts are an add-on.
Every plan can take add-ons, and every plan can be changed later. Moving is a request: tell us, and we move you. Nothing you have is deleted when you move down, and older history that a smaller plan hides comes back when you move up again.
How to choose
Start with who the vehicles belong to and how many there are. If they are yours, for personal use, and there are 3 or fewer, take Free. It is meant for your own car, the family car or a bike, and it costs nothing. If the vehicles are for a business, or there are more than 3, you are on a paid plan.
Then ask what you want to see. If the answer is where it is right now, and a warning when it moves while parked, Lite is enough, and it takes any kind of asset. If you want to look back at where it went last week, run reports, or share a link to the map with a customer, take Track. If you run vans or trucks and want to know where the fuel and the repair money go, take Fleet. If you invoice customers for the trips, take Business.
If none of those fits, say so. A custom plan is made from the features you list, with a monthly price and payment terms agreed with you. It suits big fleets, and small businesses just starting out. Tell us what you need.
How the plans differ
Each plan has a short description here and a full page of its own.
FreeFree
Free is for one person's own vehicles. Your own car is the usual start: you see it on the map from your phone, you get an alert when it moves, and a family member can watch it with you. It keeps 7 days of history, and takes up to 3 trackers, 3 share links to the map, 5 places such as home and work, and 2 people on the account.
It is not for a business. When the vehicles earn money, or you need more than 3, a paid plan is the right one.
LiteKES 250 per asset a month
Lite is the cheapest paid plan, at KES 250 per asset a month, and it takes every kind of asset, cars included. It gives you the live map, an alert when a vehicle moves while it should be parked, and the means to stop the engine when it is parked. A small business with a few cars and vans can run on it, and so can the owner of a boda boda or a tuk-tuk, or of a whole fleet of them, or a lender that sells bikes on credit.
What it leaves out is the past: there is no history and replay, and no reports. That is the step up to Track.
TrackKES 600 per asset a month
Track is the plan most people start on, at KES 600 per asset a month. It adds the past to the live map: history and replay, stops, reports, device health, and a link you can share with a customer or a relative. It also has a cash book for small owners and read access to your own data through the API.
It is built for someone with one to ten vehicles, such as a family business with its cars and vans, or a small haulier with a few trucks, who wants to know what happened and not only where things are now.
FleetKES 1,500 per asset a month
Fleet, at KES 1,500 per asset a month, is Track plus the three things a truck fleet spends its money on: fuel, drivers and safety, and maintenance and tyres. It is aimed at fleets of five or more cars, vans or trucks.
These parts of Fleet are still being built, and the plan page says so plainly. It is the plan to choose if you can already see that fuel and repairs are where your money goes.
BusinessKES 2,500 per asset a month
Business, at KES 2,500 per asset a month, is Fleet plus the money side of haulage: trips and proof of delivery, trip profit, invoices and money owed, trip advances and the ledger. It is for anyone who invoices customers, such as a transporter, and wants each trip's income and cost on one screen.
The trip and money parts are still being built, and the plan page says so plainly.
How alerts reach you
An alert is only useful if you see it. In the app, every alert is free and without a limit, on every plan. Email is included on every plan. SMS is for when you are away from data, and its monthly amount is one pool for the whole account. WhatsApp alerts are an add-on on the paid plans and are not on Free.
Add-ons
Add-ons sit on top of a plan, and each is listed on the add-ons section of the pricing page. A segment pack is made for one kind of work, such as car hire, school buses, matatu revenue or van sales, and costs between KES 200 and KES 500 per asset a month; you can add as many as you need. More SMS alerts, longer history, WhatsApp alerts and managed data, where we keep the tracker's SIM topped up with data for you, are priced when you ask.
Never lose a tracker's SIM number or SMS password
Each tracker keeps its SIM number, its SMS password and its ready commands with it. You see every message sent to the tracker, and every reply, in a chat-like view in the portal and the app, so nobody has to remember them.
